PARADE, may 18

Q John Rzeznik of the Goo Goo Dolls finally was recognized by the Songwriters Hall of Fame this year. What was his reaction?—Tim Day, Winchester, Mass.

A “It was a surprise, since I’ve lost out on four Grammys over the years,” Rzeznik, 42, tells us. “As a joke, a friend made me a pottery Grammy and called it a Scrammy. It’s pretty shocking to think I began writing songs for the Goo Goo Dolls in 1986. Where did all the time go?” If you find out, tell Mick Jagger, who turns 65 in July.
